On May 17th, the International Day AgainstHomophobia (IDAHO), the Global Forum on MSM and HIV (MSMGF) issued astatement in solidarity with hundreds of organizations around the worldworking in opposition to what seems like a daily barrage of assaultsagainst same gender loving and transgender people world wide. Just daysafter IDAHO, we witnessed in horror the conviction and sentencing ofSteven Minjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga and the police raids of Gays andLesbians of Zimbabwes (GALZ) offices. Both incidents were conductedwith the deliberate intent to intimidate and humiliate.
